Never! There’s a huge difference in sound systems between 100 and 1000 people. The bigger crowd needs larger speakers, and did you consider side sound? What about the shape of the venue? That’s a bit tricky. The effect depends on the size of the size of the dance floor, the duration, and the air circulation (keep the doors closed!). Generally for a smaller dance floor, 40 lbs is enough. If you need more than 3 minutes or have a large room then upping it up to 60 lbs is the way to go. In some very large halls we recommend 2 dry ice machines.
Yes, we require our technician handle the dry ice. Direct contact with skin will lead to burns. Our technicians are well trained to transport and handle dry ice. Without understanding of how it works, it could lead to injury. The nice thing is that dry ice evaporates into the air, leaving no residue or trace! Nothing to clean up.
